Our client, a reputable player in Luxembourg's fund industry, is looking for an experienced Head of Compliance to lead and strengthen its compliance function. The successful candidate will act as the key point of contact for regulatory matters and oversee the compliance framework.This is a strategic role suited for a senior compliance professional who brings sound regulatory expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to drive a culture of integrity across the organisation.Tasks :
  • Oversee and continuously enhance the compliance framework, policies, and procedures for the management company / AIFM / fund structure
  • Advise senior management and the board on regulatory changes, risks, and compliance implications
  • Prepare and participate in board meetings, drafting compliance reports and dashboards
  • Monitor evolving EU and Luxembourg fund regulations (UCITS, AIFMD, AML/CFT, SFDR, MiFID, etc.)
  • Assess the impact of regulatory updates and coordinate the implementation of required changes
  • Serve as the RC (Responsable du Contrôle)
  • Ensure robust AML/CFT monitoring, risk assessments, and controls at both entity and fund level
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulators on AML/CFT matters
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small compliance team.
  • Foster a strong compliance culture across the organisation, promoting awareness and best practices
  • Drive the annual compliance monitoring plan
Profile :
  • 8+ years of experience in compliance within a Luxembourg ManCo, AIFM, fund administrator, or audit/regulatory consulting firm.
  • Strong understanding of the fund industry in Luxembourg, AIFMD, AML/CFT, CSSF regulations, and fund governance requirements.
  • Prior experience as RC
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with senior stakeholders and regulators.
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution.
  • Fluent in English and French; other language is an asset
