Experienced Derivatives and Market Intelligence OfficerESM - European Stability MechanismLuxembourgDeadline for application: 7 May 2026.We are looking for an experienced front office professional with a strong market analytics background, ideally with project management experience, to work in our Derivatives and Market Intelligence team within the Funding and Investor Relations division. You will be responsible for identifying market trends, forming and articulating informed views on euro fixed income markets (government bonds and Sovereign, Supranational, and Agencies), and clearly justifying their market convictions. The team operates with a strong quantitative foundation and is actively expanding its analytical infrastructure. You will reinforce qualitative assessments with robust quantitative methodologies and contribute to the continuous enhancement of our analytical capabilities. You will report to the Head of Funding and Investor Relations.The Funding and Investor Relations division is responsible for planning, raising, and structuring the needed funding amounts (bonds, bills, commercial paper, cross currency swaps, interest rate swaps) and manages the group of banks (Market Group) with which the institution works. It also supports the management of investor relationships, the analysis of investors’ behaviours, and provides research and market analysis for marketing purposes.Key Accountabilities
  • Provide in-depth market intelligence for fixed income markets and related segments (e.g. money-, repo-, derivatives markets) and contribute to further enhancing the team’s market intelligence capabilities;
  • Develop and enhance analytical tools, including spreadsheets, to support the team’s market analysis;
  • Produce research materials for internal presentations, senior management briefings, and external marketing activities;
  • Independently conduct market analysis, delivering clear and well-founded assessments;
  • Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with market experts and senior management.
Key Background & Experience
  • At least four years of relevant experience, ideally in financial markets and/or banking with large stakes:
  • as a trader/front office staffer in a related position (derivatives/fixed income markets); and/or
  • as a middle office/project office expert within the desired market segments.
  • University degree in business, economics, finance, or similar fields;
  • Deep understanding of capital- and related market segments and their products:
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg, Reuters (Refinitiv), MS Office;
  • Fluency in English required, additional languages are considered an asset;
  • The following skills will be considered as an asset:
  • strong presentation and project management skills;
  • PowerBI skills, or a demonstrated willingness to learn;
  • established network in the financial industry and/or particularly trading community; and
  • coding skills in Python.

Application Process And Practical Information

  • Contract duration: Four years, with possibility of extension;
  • Current working arrangements: possibility to work remotely, usually up to two days a week, from Luxembourg and the border region (or from further away under certain conditions).
