- You will manage a team, which performs NAV reviews for liquid funds.
- You will be accountable for ensuring that your team delivers the reviews timely and accurately.
- You will provide guidance and training to your team and act as a reliable manager.
- You will be an active participant to governance committees and work with the relevant product oriented development teams and peers in other EMEA locations to standardize and digitalize processes.
- You will take ownership and be fully engaged in any digitization initiative which impacts your remit.
- You will also ensure that your team follows-up on NAV errors to ensure that errors are addressed appropriately and relevant information is provided to the regulator.
- In this role, you will also review and conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments across the five oversight duties of the depositary, encompassing both traditional and alternative funds.
- You will play a crucial role in identifying exceptions during these assessments, documenting findings, and ensuring that each exception is diligently followed up and closed.
- Your responsibilities will also include maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring superior quality of service, and positioning BNY Depositary as a value-added service.
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in a Depositary, Fund Administrator, Management Company/AIFM or an Audit Firm is required
- Previous experience as a people manager
- Experience in performing NAV reviews for UCITS and AIFs is necessary.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Excellent knowledge of the following CSSF Circulars: 16/644, 18/697, and 24/856
- Good knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices; in particular for the depositary oversight duties (e.g., AIFMD and UCITS V Regulations)
- Good knowledge of the ManCo/AIFM and its delegates' roles
- Fluent English skills (verbally and written)
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to plan effectively, with strong deadline orientation
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel. Knowledge of MS Office VBA would be an asset
- Process Improvement experiences/ LEAN skills e.g. to design/establish new detailed processes, documentation skills, e.g. procedures/manual
- Ability to identify logical and innovative solutions to complex problems;
- Self-motivated, innovative and analytical;
- Possess good understanding of data migration, testing and reconciliations.
