As an Officer, reporting to the head of AIFM Compliance, you will play a key role in supporting the Compliance team and Management of the AIFM in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.Key responsibilities
- Compliance Monitoring Plan: Execute regulatory compliance control testing, assess compliance risk, communicate results and deficiencies, monitor mitigation measures implementation.
- Policy and Procedures Management: Assist in updating and publishing Compliance policies and procedures, coordinate annual attestations, maintain AIFM policy register and track timely updates and approvals.
- Compliance Operations: Assist in day-to-day activities of the Compliance team, such as complaints handling, conflict of interest, personal transactions, or compliance related incident and remedial actions.
- Record Keeping & follow up: Ensure accurate and timely recording of compliance information by maintaining registers, managing shared mailbox, and organizing files. Proactively follow up on open items and escalate unresolved issues for prompt resolution.
- Tools Implementation & Enhancement: Support the implementation and enhancement of compliance tools to streamline compliance processes.
- Regulatory Watch: Keep track of new regulations, draft regulatory change notifications, oversee their implementation and prepare periodic reports on regulatory development for Senior Management.
- Coordination & Reporting: Assist in coordinating with other control functions by collecting and organizing necessary documentation, facilitate data collection, prepare Key Performance Indicator (KPI), and support in the preparation of reports for Senior Management and Regulators.
- Training: Support the preparation and delivery of compliance training, monitor training participation to ensure compliance with training requirements.
- Additional Tasks: Undertake any other relevant task as assigned to support the overall compliance function within the AIFM.
- You hold a master's degree in finance, accounting, business, law or a related field.
- You bring an initial professional experience in the investment fund management sector in a Compliance, Audit or Control function, at an Asset Servicer, an AIFM, or an Audit & Consulting firm.
- You possess a good understanding of the organization and operations of an AIFM and are familiar with the regulatory framework applicable to AIFMs. Knowledge of the Luxembourg regulatory framework is an asset.
- You have good communication skills and can build positive working relationships with a variety of people.
- You are proficient in English, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of French is a plus, and any additional language skills is an asset.
- You demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills, with a sharp attention to detail.
- You have a good command of Office 360; advanced Excel and data analytics capabilities are a plus.
- You are proactive, a quick learner, and consistently strive for results.
