Job Description:We have an exciting opportunity at JP Morgan Asset Management.As SFDR Oversight Specialist, you will be instrumental in supporting JP Morgan Asset Management Luxembourg to undertake initial/on-going due diligence of delegated/sub-delegated investment managers across funds and segregated mandates. Additionally, you will be supporting the effective implementation of governance framework, contributing to the development and application of scalable and risk aware processes, working closely with the Investment Directors, Investment Specialists and Sustainable Investing Team.Job Responsibilities
  • Operate a robust governance and oversight framework across ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) regulation, primarily focusing on Sustainable Financial Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).
  • Develop an understanding of the key metrics within the sustainability investment methodology to support the enhancement of management reporting and KPIs.
  • Support the development and maintenance of ESG reports and key documentation including the reporting and supporting material for Regulators, Boards, committees and other governance groups.
  • Develop and maintaining a strong understanding of the requirements of SFDR regulations and their impact on JPMAME.
  • Samplify portfolio data and marketing literature.
  • Work with the JPMorgan Asset Management Sustainable Investing (SI) Team to enhance Engagement Statistics - review how delegates are engaging with companies in their portfolios and exercising their voting rights.
  • Provide consideration of ESG metrics quarterly aligned to Asset Management Sustainable Risk Oversight.
  • Review European ESG Template (EET) data.
  • Work on Principal Adverse Impact (PAI) Indicator data analysis
  • Review breaches of guidelines that correspond to consideration of PAIs
  • Review periodic updates on engagement efforts related to PAIs
  • Review instances where Article 9 funds have PAIs worse than the benchmark on a quarterly basis and overview of relevant Portfolio Manager commentary
  • Assist the teams in reviewing periodic disclosures for funds under SFDR.
  • Participate in strategic projects and regulatory requests related to SFDR.
Required qualifications
  • Understanding of SFDR regulation and related operating models, in a similar role or in audit firms.
  • Good knowledge of investment management/strategies and motivation to expand and deepen this knowledge.
  • Strong all-round IT skills including data handling and macros/programming
  • Analytical skills and the ability to understand complex issues
  • Prepared to undertake CFA or CAIA exams (including CFA Certificate in ESG investing)
  • Ability to act on own initiative and fulfil objectives with minimum supervision, as well as ensure problems have appropriate prominence and urgency
