Through its dual mission of teaching and research, the FSTM seeks to generate and disseminate knowledge and train new generations of responsible citizens in order to better understand, explain and advance society and environment we live in.Your roleWe are seeking a highly motivated and talented Doctoral Candidate (PhD Student) to join our research team focused on melanoma drug resistance. The successful candidate will engage in innovative research utilizing wet-lab techniques, 3D models, and extracellular vesicles to advance our understanding of drug resistance in melanoma.Your responsibilities:
- Conduct wet-lab research in melanoma, including the development and use of 3D models and the study of extracellular vesicles
- Analyze high-throughput data sets using R or similar software
- Present research findings in meetings
- Document performed experiments in a lab book to ensure reproducibility
- Contribute to the preparation of scientific reports and publications
- Participate in institutional activities, including seminars, PhD days, and teaching opportunities
- Engage actively in the doctoral program
- A Master's degree in a relevant field
- Experience with wet-lab techniques and familiarity with melanoma research is preferred
- Strong communication skills for presenting research and working collaboratively in a team environment
- Fluency in English is required
