(MPS Group), a significant credit institution and a strategic subsidiary to pursue growth outside of Italy and enlarge the European footprint of the Group.As part of our expansion, we are looking for an Accountant to join our “Accounting, Tax & Reporting” Team.In a dynamic multinational environment characterised by continuous growth and the expanding footprint of the Luxembourg office, the Accountant/Specialist will support the smooth functioning of all departmental activities, working in close cooperation with Management. In particular, he/she will be responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the Bank’s accounting system, as well as for the preparation and timely submission of periodic regulatory reporting to the local authority and the Parent Company.The position is offered under a fixed-term contract (maternity leave replacement).Duties and responsibilities:Support the periodic closing process and contribute to the preparation of statutory financial statementsManage general accounting activities, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and proper maintenance of accounting recordsOversee the accounts receivable and accounts payable cycles, supervising postings, reconciliations, and overall process accuracyManage customer and supplier schedules, ensuring timely monitoring of due dates and outstanding itemsPrepare periodic regulatory reports for local authorities (e.g., CSSF, BCL) as well as for Group-level requirements (e.g., Bank of Italy)Support VAT and tax-related processes, including the management of VAT operations (Italy / EU / Non-EU) and periodic tax compliance activitiesServe as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors, external consultants, and regulatory stakeholders1-2 years of professional experience in accounting positions or in statutory audit.Bachelor/Master Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accountancy or equivalent field.Solid knowledge of IFRS and Lux GAAP; Tax knowledge is considered as an asset.Ability to work under stress in a small team and to respect deadline.Flexibility, proactivity and organization.Languages: Italian and English fluent; French knowledge is considered as an asset.The role requires a reliable and detail‑oriented professional, comfortable working in an operational environment, highly attentive to deadlines, and proficient in monitoring accounting and financial data.
