Head of Finance

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
• Prepare and present accurate financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor the Accounting & Finance team to achieve departmental objectives.
• Collaborate with the actuarial team to support reserving, capital management, and Solvency II requirements.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
• Monitor and mitigate financial risks associated with the insurance operations.

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Strong expertise in financial management, reporting, and compliance.
• About 10 years of post-qualification experience with at least the last 3 years in a Leadership Role in Luxembourg.
• Experience within the insurance industry in Luxembourg; ideally within a multinational / matrixed environment.
• Strong understanding of Luxembourg and European financial regulations.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
