Job DescriptionAPATEQ SA engineers and manufactures turn-key, custom designed oil-water separation systems for oilfield operators, compact wastewater treatment plants for demanding applications and pre-treatment systems for industrial wastewaters.With the most advanced wastewater treatment and water conservation solutions currently available on the globe, APATEQ’s stellar experts are anxious to cost effectively solve its clients’ decentralized wastewater treatment requirements.APATEQ SA has now an opening for aProcess EngineerUnder the supervision of the Manager/Chief Technology Officer, you will be in charge of analyzing our client’s needs and designing the whole process of the project in terms of methods which will be used, components needed, project timesheet planning.Your main responsibilities / Your role:
  • Designing the whole process of the project (timing, costs, components needed, ...);
  • Drawing the Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID);
  • Designing and implementing new processes or modifying existing ones to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality;
  • Analyzing production data, identifying bottlenecks, and developing solutions to optimize workflows and resolve process issues;
  • Preparing detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and project outcomes;
  • Diagnosing and resolving process-related issues in a timely manner;
  • Ensuring processes adhere to safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and industry standards;
  • Working effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and engineering, to ensure smooth operations;
  • Participating at the commissioning of the installations designed and manufactured by the company;
  • Communicate with the technical representatives at clients.
Your profileThe ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
  • Engineering degree with knowledge in Hydraulics, water treatment or environmental solutions;
  • At least 5 to 10 years of experience in an industrial environment, ideally in the water sector;
  • Proven experience with UT and RO filtration;
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, including hydraulics, fluid dynamics, and process control;
  • Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques and control systems;
  • Proficient in process analysis, process modelling, statistical analysis and simulation software;
  • Good general knowledge in MS Office and MS Project;
  • Fluent in English; German or French would be an asset;
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and engineering, to ensure smooth operations;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, autonomous self-starter with a strong sense of planning and organization;
  • Business centric approach to R&D and keen for innovation;
  • Hands-on attitude, conceptual and out-of-the box thinking;
  • Good team player, problem solver and attention to detail;
  • Well-structured and organized, proactive and resourceful;
  • Well spoken, good listener with strong communication skills.
