Role SummaryBased in Luxembourg, this role is responsible for managing the day-to-day tax compliance and advisory requirements for Ziffer Group.Reporting to the Head of Operations, the position ensures the accurate execution of tax mandates while providing technical support to the front office and accounting teams.Role Target (Objective)To lead and structure Ziffer's Tax function, delivering expert-level tax planning and cross-border advisory services to corporate and private clients, while ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and financial integrity.Time Schedule☑ Full-time OR ☑ Part-timeRole locationLuxembourg (Head Office)Rare travel.Key Responsibilities1. Tax Compliance & Execution (Luxembourg & International):
  • Manage the preparation and filing of all Luxembourg tax returns (CIT, VAT, WHT, etc.) for the Group's portfolio.
  • Coordinate international tax compliance for cross-border structures, ensuring all filings meet local and international requirements.
  • Monitor technical updates in Luxembourg tax legislation and international standards (DAC, ATAD, etc.) to ensure operational readiness.
  • Liaise with the Luxembourg tax authorities regarding routine filings, information requests, and assessments.
2. Operational Tax Advisory:
  • Provide technical support on tax planning and structuring for corporate and private client mandates.
  • Support Directors by providing technical analysis for cross-border transactions and restructurings.
  • Draft technical memos and advisory notes that translate complex tax frameworks into clear, actionable client solutions.
  • Review existing client structures to ensure ongoing tax efficiency and compliance with evolving regulations.
3. Tax-Accounting Integration and Support:
  • Collaborate with the Chief Accountant and the accounting team to ensure tax positions are accurately reflected in the financial statements.
  • Provide technical oversight on the tax impact of bookkeeping entries and year-end adjustments.
  • Review annual accounts specifically for tax provisioning and fiscal disclosure accuracy.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for the accounting team on fiscal treatments.
4. Quality Control and Risk Management:
  • Maintain structured tax review processes to ensure the high quality of all tax-related deliverables.
  • Standardize tax compliance templates and internal advisory documentation.
  • Perform risk assessments on client files to identify and mitigate potential fiscal exposure.
  • Ensure all tax files are maintained to audit-ready standards.
5. Operational Reporting:
  • Report directly to the Head of Operations on the status of tax mandates, deadlines, and department productivity.
  • Escalate high-risk fiscal matters or complex structural changes to senior leadership as required.
  • Contribute technical insights to help the Head of Operations optimize internal workflows and service delivery.

  • Degree in Tax Law, Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Luxembourg tax qualification strongly preferred
  • Advanced professional certification (ACCA, CPA, Chartered Tax Advisor, or equivalent) is an advantage
Role Requirements - Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Luxembourg tax (mandatory)
  • Proven expertise in Corporate tax, Private client taxation, Cross-border structures
  • Experience in tax advisory firm
