DESCRIPTIONThe RME Team is building the world's most comprehensive and effective asset management database. This is a huge challenge considering the complexity of Amazon's variety of technology to manage in combination with the rapid growth of the company. The Asset Performance Management Team (APM) administrates the APM Program via our software platform, master data management strategy, configuration and solutions, deployment, BI Reporting and KPI development, training and documentation. The APM program is being deployed in the Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centers, and global networks across many stakeholder groups.
We are looking for a successful and outstanding Software Development Engineer (SDE) to help develop our APM application and related tools to help improve the reliability of our assets, and to lead the optimization of the application. The SDE will work with stakeholders from multiple business units to gather requirements and to build user-friendly and intuitive to use applications. The SDE will work on customer facing applications, data or application integrations, and optimize existing code.
As an SDE, you are responsible for setting a high bar throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, testing, and operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software and application development, data warehousing and interest in linking data to key business trends, business judgment, intense curiosity, and superior written and verbal communication skills. He/she will work closely with the business and technical teams to analyze many non-standard and unique business problems and use creative problem solving to deliver results.
He/she will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big and be creative while paying careful attention to detail and will enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Luxembourg, LUXBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, or relevant work experience
  • Professional experience in software development building production software systems
  • Experience in Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
  • Experience in Java, C, C++, C# development, .NET, XML, JSON
  • Experience working in application - ASP.Net, RestFull API, SOAP
  • Experience in Database concepts like TSQL, Database Designing, Stored Procedures, Trigger, and at least one of the no -SQL solution.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and ETL jobs and optimizing complex queries.
  • Knowledgeable in front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap, Jquery
  • Proven track record of working on complex modular projects, and assuming a leading role in such projects.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, capable of defining own design and test scenarios.
  • An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment.
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • An excellent work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with Infor EAM and/or other EAM software solutions
  • Data analysis and debugging skills
  • Master's degree
  • Strong debugging/trouble-shooting skills of embedded systems
  • Experience with real time debugging tools (software)
  • Proficient with IIS 7.0 deployment model
  • Experience with Windows server 2012+
  • Experience with Microsoft BI technologies, e.g. SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS.
  • Experience with AWS services (Redshift, S3, EC2, Lambda, SNS/SQS, RDS, Aurora) preferred.
