Through its dual mission of teaching and research, the FSTM seeks to generate and disseminate knowledge and train new generations of responsible citizens in order to better understand, explain and advance society and environment we live in.Your roleThe Quantum Dynamics of Control (QDC) group led by Prof. Aurelia Chenu at the University of Luxembourg has an opening for a 1-year postdoc on dynamics of quantum systems and theory of measurement, starting as soon as possible. See our group at .The QDC team is a dynamic research unit within a rapidly growing, newly established university. We offer excellent working conditions in an international and stimulating environment, along with frequent opportunities to engage in scientific activities both in Luxembourg and abroad, including seminars, summer schools, conferences, and more.The postdoc fellow will be working on a wave-function picture of open quantum dynamics, including the effect of measurement. The applicant should be a creative and motivated researcher with knowledge of one or all of the following:
  • Measurement theory
  • Quantum optics
  • Quantum dynamics
  • Stochastic processes
Your profile
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • High-quality PhD in Theoretical Physics
  • Solid knowledge of Quantum Mechanics
  • Will to drive a project
  • Fluent written and oral skills in English
