- Manage and oversee the delivery of depositary services for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with AIFMD requirements and internal standards.
- Ensure client relationship management including ongoing multi-channel communication such as face-to-face, telephone and email.
- Take ownership of client deliverables and timelines leading on key processes such as cash monitoring, risk assessments, asset verification, AIFMD reporting, fund onboarding, and quarterly reviews.
- Review and sign off key fund events (e.g. capital calls, acquisitions, disposals, distributions, terminations), ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor cash flow: review of high-level reconciliations, analytical reviews and substantive testing of bank accounts. Safekeeping and verification of assets: review of verification that assets and their economic benefit exist and are owned by the Fund. Ensuring Analysts and Associates are maintaining an up-to-date inventory of all assets held by the Fund. Complete the sign-off of key events completed by the sub team, to ensure management information is always kept up to date. Ongoing monitoring and oversight of the Fund and Fund Manager: ensure controls and procedures are adequate and are being adhered to, ensuring the fund is being managed in accordance with the fund documentation.
- Persevere with non-responsive clients to find alternative ways of working and solutions to aid timely delivery of information.
- Update billing schedules ahead of quarter/period-end for clients and chase any late payments.
- Have a thorough understanding of AIFMD requirements governing the role of depositary and client activity as well as our regulatory status and permissions and be able to articulate these to a junior team.
- Train and supervise junior team members and be the first point of contact in all matters relating to core deliverables, escalating to senior line management as required.
- Lead weekly sub team planning meetings, team allocation meetings and participate in weekly depositary management meetings to ensure all issues are escalated, and next steps are taken.
- Use management information to effectively distribute work in sub-team, prioritizing accordingly.
- Prepare and deliver internal training sessions as part of the depositary learning and development program.
- Execute as hoc tasks from time to time.
- Ability to understand/to investigate complex transactions including through the review of accounting records, financial reporting, and legal documentation.
- Ability to think laterally about the practical application of the AIFMD, particularly in relation to the verification of a diverse portfolio of assets.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the AIFMD and Luxembourg regulatory framework.
- Previous experience of managing several client relationships is an advantage

- Proven experience managing and developing junior team members is preferred, including line management responsibilities and career development support.
- Master's or bachelor's degree in business studies, economics or similar.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience .
- First experience in team supervision is a strong asset.
- Proven knowledge of audit technics.
- Fluent in English (knowledge of French and German is an advantage as any additional European language).
