Job DescriptionThe Risk Management Department is responsible for the risk control function of the Bank, covering both Financial Risk and Operational Risk matters.The Risk Management Department acts as second line of defence. It assures that the Bank’s financial and operational risks are properly identified and managed by the departments in the first line. The Risk Management Department reports identified risks to the Senior Management of the Bank. The Department supports the business in managing their risks, providing guidance to promote risk awareness continuously.Within the Operational Risk Management function, we are looking for an Operational Risk Officer on a fixed term contract – 1 year.Your main tasks will be to:
  • Perform detailed analysis of operational risk incidents and maintain the Operational Risk event database
  • Support the risk and control self-assessment process of the risk owners, challenging the proposed assessment.
  • Review the status of key risk indicators and the level of risk for the respective areas.
  • Support the preparation of regular risk reports to the management and specialized committees
  • Monitor how departments manage the risk originated by their relations with Third parties
  • Challenge the new products assessments.
  • Participation in specific projects.
Job requirements:
  • Studies in Finance/Economics, IT or other technical subjects
  • Experience in Operational Risk.
  • Good analysis and reporting skills
  • Knowledge and awareness of regulatory requirements
  • Good knowledge Funds and Banking industry (specially in Custody, Fund Administration and Treasury activities)
  • Good command of MS Office applications
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team spirit, stress resilience and analytical as well as problem-solving skills with strong attention to details.
