Expected Qualifications:

8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:Strategic ResponsibilitiesChampion enterprise risk strategy: Define and evolve the overarching risk management framework, ensuring alignment with business strategy, regulatory standards, and organizational goals.Lead the RCSA program: Build a best-in-class RCSA framework that delivers actionable insights and enhances decision-making at management and board levels.Shape innovation and transformation: Partner with product, technology, and business leaders to embed risk thinking in new product design and business change processes from ideation to launch.Advise senior leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, ensuring risk awareness and governance underpin all major strategic initiatives.Define risk appetite and governance: Contribute to setting the operational risk appetite, key risk indicators (KRIs), and oversight mechanisms that guide business performance.Operational ResponsibilitiesImplement operational risk architecture: Help design, deploy, and maintain the tools, processes, and reporting structures for effective operational risk management.Manage risk event collection and reporting: Oversee identification, validation, and analysis of operational risk events, ensuring timely reporting to senior management and regulators.Challenge and strengthen controls: Provide independent challenge to first-line risk management and remediation actions, fostering continuous improvement.Ensure regulatory excellence: Guarantee full compliance with CSSF circulars, EBA & ECB guidelines, and Basel/CRR requirements across all enterprise risk activities.Required Qualifications7+ years’ experience in enterprise or operational risk management, including RCSA and new product/change risk ownership, ideally within a regulated EU/EEA bank.Strong knowledge of CSSF, EBA & ECB, and Basel/CRR regulatory frameworks.Proven ability to connect risk expertise with strategic business objectives.Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Master’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related field; FRM/PRM certification a plus.Experience thriving in dynamic, growth-oriented environments.Subsidiary: PayPalTravel Percent: 0PayPal does not charge candidates any fees for courses, applications, resume reviews, interviews, background checks, or onboarding.
