Job DescriptionThe Department is responsible for the daily monitoring and the proper functioning of the internal and external systems and network infrastructure.In order to support our team, we are looking for a Database Administrator on a permanent contract.Your main tasks will be to:
  • Install, configure & maintain the Bank’s database systems : Oracle, DB2 & MS-SQL Server
  • Ensure availability and stability of main database systems, keeping the system up to date
  • Ensure day to day activity
  • Provide level 2 support for all database related matters
  • Perform investigation on performance and recommend any improvement
  • Ability to take ownership/responsibility of tasks assigned and issues arising in daily and project-related work including respecting deadlines
Job requirements:
  • To have degree in Information Technology
  • Extensive working experience (2 years min.) with Oracle and/or Microsoft MS-SQL
  • Experience in IBM DB2 Windows is an asset but not a requirement
  • Knowledge of VMWare, Linux and Microsoft Windows Server environments is an advantage
  • Experience with backup/restore tool
  • Knowledge of technical investigation is an asset
  • Previous experience in a financial institution would be an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of English (oral and written) – French considered as an advantage
  • Ability to work in team and participate to the out-of-office hour support on-call program
  • Good communication and organisation skills
  • Independent and initiative taker
  • To have the ability to create, maintain and follow the procedures related to the dba role.
