Job DescriptionJunior AccountantFixed Term Contract - 1 year with extension in viewACTinBlack (ACT) is a leading developer and manufacturer of Night Vision Systems catering to government customers worldwide. Headquartered in Foetz, Luxembourg, with additional office in the United States, ACT maintains a robust global presence. Our cutting-edge systems empower users to "See in the Dark" in order to accomplish their mission goals.Our Finance team is looking for a new team member starting as soon as possible.The ideal candidate will have up to 3 years of relevant work experience in Finance and Accounting in Luxembourg, ideally within an industrial company (production environment).Reporting to our Head of Finance, you will work in a small finance team of a company with a strong track record of growth.The Role:
  • Contact with suppliers to resolve any invoicing issues
  • Review of aging items (including reminders to customers)
  • Timely booking of supplier invoices and executing payments
  • Bank and suspense account reconciliations
  • Creating deferred expenses / income
  • Inter-company transactions reconciliation
  • Support balance sheet reconciliation and analysis when required
  • Support VAT and Intrastat declarations
  • Support audit and information requests
  • Take part in intragroup ad-hoc projects
The Profile:
  • Recent graduate in Accounting, Finance or related fields ideally
  • Knowledge of operational production environment
  • A first experience in LUX GAAP or US GAAP is an advantage
  • Hands-on and willingness to do the work, often in collaboration with other team members
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, German or French are helpful
  • Able to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Great people skills, team player and problem solver
  • Proficient in Odoo ERP desired but not mandatory
  • Robust knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel is a must
  • Holder of an European Union passport
