So are we! Come and join usThe Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is a Research and Technology Organization (RTO) active in the fields of materials, environment and IT. By transforming scientific knowledge into technologies, smart data and tools, LIST empowers citizens in their choices, public authorities in their decisions and businesses in their strategies.Do you want to know more about LIST? Check our website:How will you contribute?Within the framework of a public-private collaboration, LIST and an industrial partner are willing to develop innovative electroplated copper-based composites reinforced with metallic/ceramic and Carbon nanostructures. The aim is to significantly improve the performances of the copper-based composite. Two major aspects considered in this project are: the modification of the thermal properties through a reduced coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and the development of electromagnetic shielding capacity using nanostructured hybrid materials. The Researcher / Postdoctoral Fellow will significantly contribute to the project with a strong focus on materials integration, nano-enabled coatings and multifunctional composites. The main duties foreseen are:Design, synthesis and optimization of Cu-Metal-Carbon interfaces in copper based nanocompositesDevelopment of electroplating processes incorporating metallic, bi-metallic, Phase Change Materials along with Carbon Nanotubes or graphene particlesInvestigation of structural, thermal and electromagnetic properties of the fabricated materialsExecution of particle inclusion via co-spraying and nanoparticle functionalization routesContribution to project deliverables, scientific dissemination, consortium workshops and valorisation strategy. Is Your profile described below?
