The candidate will be responsible for integrating the CMDB with ITSM (IT Service Management), i.e. ServiceNow, while also ensuring seamless interoperability and integration with other components (e.g. DevOps tooling). Knowledge of underlying technologies is required such as Oracle databases, Red Hat Linux, load balancers, reverse proxies, and authentication/authorization.The candidate will be involved in the detailed planning with the scrum master, diligence and analysis of the existing environment, input within the high level and detailed design/architecture and creation of use-cases/test-cases, build-out and testing of the new environment, and finally, taking the new system into productionProfessional Skills:
  • Excellent BMC CMDB hands-on implementation knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge of Atrium CMDB is required
  • ITSM and ITIL v3 framework and solutions for Enterprise Service Management is a critical differentiator.
  • Excellent understanding of Service Management solution design best practices
  • Expert knowledge of BMC Atrium CMDB and AR System / Spoon ETL
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB is a critical differentiator.
  • DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, Ansible, Git is a significant differentiator.
  • Operating systems knowledge such as Linux and Windows
  • Knowledge of shell (such as ksh, bash, PowerShell) and interpreted programming languages such as Python.
  • Essential knowledge ServiceNow ITSM is required.
  • English fluently spoken and written.
  • EU citizenship
  • Ability to supervise and work simultaneously on different activities with a variety of projects and short deadlines.

Activities:
  • Design and implement CMDB solutions using BMC CMDB provided functionality and features.
  • Explore possible approaches for a smooth migration to ServiceNow CMDB.
  • Manage integration between CMDB and ITSM solution in place, i.e. ServiceNow ITSM, as well as further automating the integration with the DevOps chain/tooling.
  • Manage upgrades, patches, and updates for CMDB systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Address security vulnerabilities and implement best practices for securing CMDB environments.
  • Manage multiple environments and cluster deployments effectively, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical expertise for CMDB-related projects.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, architectural diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies related to CMDB, ITSM, and DevOps automation.
  • Identify, analyze, design, implement, and test enhancements or bug fixes to the current systems management infrastructure to meet changing requirements and increase productivity.
  • Provide administrative support for configuration and proper operation of CMDB tools used by operational teams.
  • Create documentation and formalize procedures pertaining to the operation of the CMDB system.
  • Consult with and provide recommendations to other Operational teams
  • Respond to technical Level 3 support tickets for CMDB features and configuration
  • Help service owners translate business needs into CMDB requirements
  • Configure the Monitoring of the CMDB
  • Deploy in production and assist the operations team to manage the CMDB in various environments.
  • If required, provide training and support to application owners and technical team to enable them to integrate/use the CMDB.
Your profile:Qualifications/Experience:
  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a senior CMDB Administrator/expert
  • Strong design and architecture experience
  • Implementation experience in various integration methodologies and have performed integrations of applications.
  • Exposure to DevOps and Infrastructure as Code
  • Exposure to Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Exposure to cloud hyperscalers such as Amazon Web services (AWS), Azure, GCP is an asset.
  • Experience with RDBMS products such as Oracle and SQL Server
  • Experience with integration to third party system using RESTFul, SOAP APIs
Requirements:
  • EU citizenship.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in any other European language is a plus.
