Job DescriptionYour role as Accountant:Are you a detail-driven and proactive finance professional looking to make a real impact in a close-knit team? We’re looking for a Finance Accountant to join our small, collaborative finance team (2 FTE) at Morgan’s Luxembourg site.In this key role, you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations—ensuring accurate reporting, upholding internal controls, and supporting smooth day-to-day accounting. Your responsibilities will include managing accounts receivable and payable, preparing VAT returns, reconciling payroll, and assisting with monthly closings.You’ll report directly to the Site Finance Controller and play a hands-on role in maintaining financial compliance with Luxembourg legislation, as well as supporting broader operational needs.What we’re looking for:
  • Experience in accounting within a manufacturing, industrial, or service environment
  • Familiarity with Luxembourgish financial regulations
  • Fluency in English and French
  • A collaborative mindset and attention to detail
This is a fully office-based role at our site in Luxembourg, ideally suited for professionals who enjoy working closely with a small team and want to grow within a dynamic company.Located just 8 km from the Belgian border and 38 km from France, our site is easily accessible. We enthusiastically welcome applications from qualified candidates in Belgium and France who meet the experience criteria.What you need to do:Accounts Receivable:
  • Handle cash collections, debtor follow-up, and General Ledger reconciliations;
  • Oversee daily and manual consignment invoicing;
  • Process customer payments.
Accounts Payable:
  • Record vendor invoices (with PO) and coordinate with Purchasing;
  • supervise non-PO invoice processing, approvals, and coding;
  • follow up on vendor payments (including SKG/Multiline), manage intercompany netting, and liaise as needed;
  • update vendor master data per procedures.
Payroll:
  • Prepare and record monthly payroll journals and reconcile payroll accounts with the General Ledger (using data from external payroll providers);
VAT & Reporting:
  • Prepare and file monthly and annual Luxembourg VAT returns, ensuring reconciliation with the General Ledger;
  • Prepare monthly statistical and Intrastat reports.
Banking & Reconciliation:
  • Record daily AR/AP/GL transactions from bank statements and reconcile with the trial balance;
  • Perform regular bank, cash, and intercompany reconciliations.
Expense Management:
  • Monitor, record, and follow up on personal and company credit card expenses and employee expense reports;
Month-End Close & General Accounting:
  • Support monthly close by preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and fixed asset updates;
  • handle intercompany stock and assist with consolidation system input.
Compliance & Internal Controls:
  • Ensure respect of deadlines and adherence to internal processes and policies (e.g., SoA, IFC).
What you need to bring:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting or finance role;
  • Practical experience with Luxembourgish legislation, compliance, tax, and VAT processes is a must;
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a must
  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance;
  • Accounting certification is a plus, but not mandatory;
  • Fluent in both French and English (written and spoken);
  • Strong organizational, reconciliation, and attention-to-detail skills;
  • Familiarity with internal controls and financial systems;
  • Ability to meet deadlines reliably.
  • Candidates be able to be on site on daily basis.
