Job DescriptionMercer Alternatives is seeking candidates for the following position based in our Luxembourg office:Core AIFM corporate support (m/f)Mercer Alternatives operates as an investment firm. The Firm provides advisory services, as well as offers customized and pooled investment solutions across various asset classes including private equity, debt, infrastructure, real estate, and hedge funds.What can you expect:This person will provide day-to-day corporate administrative and secretarial-type support to the AIFM in Luxembourg. The role will primarily focus on providing support on organisational matters and coordination with the potential to expand into other areas with additional responsibilities.Reporting to your line manager, the role will be multi-faceted and fluid, requiring an individual that is flexible, enthusiastic (especially to be responsible for a wide range of tasks), hardworking and eager to learn, preferably with a related background in addition to strong organisational, collaboration and communication skills. The successful candidate will primarily assist the AIFM’s Conducting Officer responsible for portfolio management oversight and legal and operating conditions on tasks related to organisation matters (including legal), gathering and maintaining information, office and order management, as well as assist with coordination on certain evolving projects with the AIFM and wider business.Our employees enjoy excellent benefits such as:

We will count on you to:
  • Support certain organisational activities of the AIFM
  • Assist with communication within the AIFM, with internal colleagues (e.g. group entities) or external parties (legal counsel, consultants, internal / external auditors etc) on certain legal and governance topics.
  • Act as a corporate secretarial support to include board and senior management meeting coordination, minute taking, document management etc.
  • Support the coordination of the AIFM and wider business on certain projects including new product launches
  • Act as peer reviewer; organise/participate in document reviews
  • Assist with maintaining certain monitoring / tracking reports
  • Organise and maintain all core legal/business documents
  • Assist on order management and other office related tasks
What you need to have:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is a non-negotiable requirement.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience relevant to the role, within the fund industry including law firm, service providers or audit
  • Understanding of the financial services environment in Luxembourg
  • Self-motivated team player and ability to work independently; strong sense of ownership, paying attention to detail and ensuring high-quality deliverables within set timelines
  • An ability to multi-task and work under pressure to deadlines
  • Openness to a fluid role with the opportunity to develop further
  • Strong organisational skills; excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills
  • Positive can-do attitude essential
What will make you stand out:
  • Understanding of AIFMD regulation and environment in Luxembourg (additional jurisdiction(s) is a plus);
  • Technical knowledge of fund structures, parties to the fund and the different fund types
  • Strong analytical skills to review and analyse information/ situations to identify, articulate the issues on hand and propose solutions
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Champions collaboration within an organisation to achieve shared vision
