In this role, you will support the Region Europe Multicountries Tax Manager to ensure that domestic tax obligations are met while adhering to the Group Customs Policy. You will contribute to tax and customs optimization efforts at the regional and country levels. By monitoring relevant tax and customs laws and regulations, you will support the Region Europe Multicountries Tax Manager to assess their impact on the business and identify potential risks and opportunities. Your ability to establish effective processes and actions will support the proper management of these areas.
You will also oversee tax inquiries, audits, and litigations, ensuring alignment with the Group's policies and objectives. Additionally, you will support the Region Europe Multicountries Tax Manager in implementing the Group Tax and Customs Policies and serve as a point of contact for local stakeholders regarding tax and customs matters in the region. This role requires a proactive approach to compliance and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.Main Responsibilities:You will work in collaboration with the Region Europe Multi-Countries Tax Manager and cross-functional teams to identify and monitor tax and customs risks across various jurisdictions. Thanks to your regulatory awareness, you will support your manager in assessing legislative developments and proposing appropriate measures to maintain compliance.You will help implement the Group's Tax and Customs Policies, ensuring that suitable frameworks are in place. You will also act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on tax and customs matters, contributing to clear communication and coordination.You will handle both international and domestic tax topics such as transfer pricing, reporting, and compliance. Working closely with the finance team, tax advisors, and authorities, you will contribute to audit responses and documentation. In addition, you will assist in customs compliance by analyzing regulatory changes and supporting your manager during customs audits.Who we are looking for:We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized professional with at least 5 years of experience in compliance and advisory roles, particularly in an international context. A certification as a Tax advisor/Chartered accountant is a plus. You have a good understanding of tax regulations, customs policies, and transfer pricing, as well as experience in identifying and mitigating tax risks while ensuring compliance with changing legislation applied for European Countries.
In addition, a basic knowledge of accounting principles will be beneficial, as well as the ability to effectively manage workloads with sensitive deadlines.
Thanks to your analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively, you will provide support to your line manager and to various departments, advising on tax implications of activities, projects, and investments. You should have a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams and external advisors.
