Based in the city center, the finance director is looking for his right hand to work on accounting related tasks, asset management, side project (ESG process, best practices process)
This position is meant to grow quickly as the firm will again hire more people in 2024.Our client works with great Retail, FMCG, healthcare & public stakeholders.More than a colleague, the company is looking for a nice person to work with and to fit with the company culture.You will report to the head of finance, work in close collaboration with the asset management and the compliance teams while developing your own scope with two hires planned this year.DescriptionPart of the Finance Team, and reporting to the Director of Finance, you will gain experience in a broad range of private equity finance matters such as fund accounting or fund and asset management.The primary role will be directly supporting the Director of Finance in the management of the accounting process and preparation of high-quality financial information. You will also work closely with Asset Management in areas of investment level cash management, business planning and reporting. You will have exposure to all aspects of fund and investment management processes across a broad range of industry sectors, including healthcare, industrial, retail, and education among others.In addition, you will have the opportunity to participate in the development and adoption of best practices in operational processes, internal risk management, compliance, and ESG.Accounting and Reporting
- Manage the daily accounting operations and quarterly reportin
- Prepare Luxembourg GAAP financial statements
- Preparation and/or coordination of VAT periodic filings
- Prepare intercompany reconciliations
- Support Finance Director on audit, depositary, and other external information requests
- Initiate continuous improvement for all accounting processes
- Support Asset Management team with cash management including rent invoicing and rent collections
- Support Asset Management in managing and tracking investment level fundings
- Support Asset Management team with preparation of annual business plan
- Participate in the development and adoption of best practices in operational processes, internal risk management, compliance, and ESG
- Participate in Investment/Board Committee meetings
- Sharing tasks related to office management and administration
- Recruitment and management of two junior accountants
- Degree in Accounting / Finance ;
- Min 5 years of relevant professional experience in a top player in the fund industry (service provider or inhouse) preferably with a focus in PE/RE;
- Knowledge of Lux GAAP and IFRS + VAT/Tax
- Proven team player with strong oral and written communication skills;
- Knowledge of BOB software is an advantage;
- Ability to effectively communicate in English. Additional European languages is an advantage;
- Strong work ethic with a desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
