We are seeking a highly motivated, certified IT Business Analyst with a CFPS certification, fluent in English. This is a remote tele-work position, allowing you to work from anywhere, while being part of a dynamic and friendly project team. Freelancer and/or part-time employment is acceptable.What You'll Do:
  • Conduct workshops with client officers and stakeholders.
  • Elicit business requirements and translate them into functional (e.g. use cases, user stories, etc.) and non-functional specifications.
  • Estimate project size using Function Points (FP).
  • Contribute to system design and architecture tasks.
  • Support the development team by clarifying requirements.
  • Participate in functional testing.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Produce end-user documentation (e.g. user manuals).
  • Develop training curriculum and conduct training sessions.
  • Assist in project management, authoring of technical documentation, team coordination, and reporting.
Requirements
  • University degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT, in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of measuring the size and complexity of software using Function Point Analysis.
  • Valid IFPUG - Certified Function Point Specialist (CFPS) certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Analytical thinking, with good presentation and collaboration skills.
  • Familiar with the Agile development cycle of web applications (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of analysis/modelling tools and techniques (use case diagram, activity diagram, entity relationship model, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office suite and understanding of XML, SQL, HTML, and CSS technologies will form an asset.
