The position focuses on fund accounting and custody through the use of technology, processing transactions, and monitoring trade settlements.
Working under the direct supervision of more senior client service representatives, the intern is responsible to support the other team members on their daily tasks, related to the Custody and Fund Accounting oversight of the activity of the mutual funds.Responsibilities:Portfolio Accounting & Custody:
  • Assist to Prepare & reconcile monthly accounting proof packages.
  • Periodically reconcile Foreign & Domestic cash securities positions with other departments or institutions.
  • Monitor trade settlement.
  • Review and resolve accounting related breaks daily.
  • Support the other team members with the daily controls on the funds daily activity.
  • Support the team members with the Asset Held Away supervision.
Technology Management:
  • Effectively utilize BBH's internal systems to support client servicing deliverables.
  • Assist team members with client requests.
Inquiry Responses/ Communications:
  • Provide a timely response and solution to internal inquiries, escalating to Sr. Client Service Rep. as necessary
Client Service:
  • Contribute to improvement and productivity of the client team and standards of service.
  • Assist in activities that support the measurement of Client Service Standards.
  • Support the team members produce client reporting and
management reports. * Assist to Review & Reconcile oversight packages.
  • Support the Team members with the Asset Held Away supervision as well as with any other Fund Accounting and Custody activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Pursuing Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with ability to
present complex and sensitive issues. * Fluent in English.In order to be eligible you must meet the following criteria:
  • Available for a minimum of 6 months starting.
  • Internship required for graduation.
  • Formal signed internship agreement provided by university.
