Job DescriptionFull-Stack / Product Engineer(Early hire – AI-powered LegalTech SaaS)📍 Luxembourg (Remote)
🕒 Full-time, Permanent
📅 Start date: May 2026About the CompanyThe Company is an early-stage AI-powered FinTech / LegalTech SaaS startup building tools to simplify and automate complex economic and financial compliance workflows for international companies, law firms, and specialized advisory boutiques. We are at the beginning of the journey, with:
  • A clear product vision
  • Strong domain expertise from the founders
  • Early design work and technical direction
  • An experienced Tech Advisor (15+ years) supporting architectural decisions
  • What we don’t have yet is an in-house engineer to turn this vision into a robust, working product. That’s where you come in.
The RoleAs our first full-time engineer, you will play a key role in building the initial product and shaping its technical foundations. You will work closely with the founders and the Tech Advisor to deliver a pragmatic, scalable MVP and progressively evolve the platform toward AI-driven capabilities.Your ResponsibilitiesYou will:
  • Build the initial MVP alongside the founders
  • Implement backend logic, APIs, and core product workflows
  • Contribute to (and occasionally build) frontend components — no pixel-perfect heroics required
  • Build robust backend: simple as possible but also make sure it handles all necessary product features.
  • Leverage Generative AI tools as much as possible – we want to deliver product fast.
  • Make pragmatic technical decisions with guidance from the Tech Advisor
  • Gradually shape the technical foundations of the platform (architecture, tooling, patterns)
  • Contribute to the evolution of the platform toward AI-driven solutions, including:
  • Agent-based architectures
  • LLM integration and orchestration
  • Intelligent automation and workflow design
  • Actively explore, prototype, and test new technologies related to AI, automation, and intelligent systems
You will not be expected to:
  • Act as a CTO
  • Manage teams or offshore contractors
  • Know everything upfront
What We’re Looking ForWe’re aiming for the sweet spot: experienced enough to work autonomously, but not so senior that you expect a large team or rigid processes.Required Experience & SkillsYou likely have:
  • 1–3 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Experience shipping real production code (not only side projects)
  • Strong backend skills, with Python as a core language
  • Experience with JavaScript framework (React is the plus)
  • Comfort working across the stack, even if you lean backend
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL
  • Experience with using LLMs (building chatbots etc.)
  • Experience with using Generative AI tools for improving productivity (Claude Code etc.)
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and cloud-hosted infrastructures
  • Working knowledge of development and collaboration tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • AI & Modern Engineering Practices
You should have:
  • A strong curiosity and foundational understanding of AI and LLM-based systems
  • Interest in agentic approaches, orchestration, and AI-enabled workflows
  • Proficiency or hands-on exposure to AI-augmented software engineering practices, including the use of AI-powered development tools and assistants to accelerate development, improve code quality, and drive innovation
We don’t expect deep AI research expertise — curiosity, hands-on experimentation, and willingness to learn matter more.Tech Stack (Initial Direction, Not Dogma)Our current direction includes:
  • Python (core backend logic)
  • React (frontend)
  • SQL / relational databases
  • REST APIs
  • Cloud-hosted infrastructure
  • Git and basic and CI/CD pipelines
Frontend frameworks, cloud providers, and tooling are not locked in — your input will matter.Working Environment & SupportYou will not be alone:
  • Founders with strong domain expertise and product ownership
  • A Tech Advisor available for architecture reviews and technical guidance
  • Clear prioritization — we value working software over theoretical perfection
We are looking for someone who shows enthusiasm, ownership, and resilience in a fast-paced startup environment. What We Offer
  • Competitive salary depending on experience
  • Equity upside (depending on performance and profiles)
  • High autonomy and trust
  • Direct access to founders and real influence on product decisions
  • Opportunity to grow into a senior or lead role as the company scales
  • Remote work
One Last ThingEarly-stage startups are messy, uncertain, and sometimes frustrating — we won’t pretend otherwise. But if you’re excited by:
  • Building a product from zero
  • Seeing your work used immediately
  • Growing with a platform instead of maintaining legacy systems
this role may be a great fit.Requirements & Legal Information
  • University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Luxembourg without requiring visa sponsorship
  • CV submitted in English
  • Candidates should include a CV and cover letter with their application. You're also welcome to share additional materials such as a GitHub link or examples of IT projects you've completed.
