Through its dual mission of teaching and research, the FSTM seeks to generate and disseminate knowledge and train new generations of responsible citizens in order to better understand, explain and advance society and environment we live in.Your roleThis position is inside the doctoral training unit which investigates new materials, methods and concepts for converting sunlight into usable energy sources.Inorganic Chalcogenide Perovskite materials are earth abundant, non-toxic and extremely stable making them ideal candidates for use as absorber layers for tandem and indoor photovoltaic applications. The student will investigate the synthesis of powders and thin films with the aim to investigate their fundamental opto-electronic properties using state of the art instrumentation as well as fabricate functioning demonstrator devices.
