- Material expertise: microstructure, optics, stress, failure modes; close collaboration with Product Development to drive strong outcomes.
- Hands-on lab impact: leverage advanced lab equipment; deep-dive into test results; reveal true material behavior; deliver improvement insights and sharp technical reports.
- Partnership & outreach: engage with universities and RTOs; lead co-development projects.
- Tech & methods leadership: scout and implement new test methods and equipment; strengthen the development pipeline.
- Innovation driver: support the Innovation Framework; evaluate early-stage ideas; contribute to Front-End screening.
- MS or PhD degree with expertise in glass/ceramics or organic materials, adhesives, and bonding. 5+ years experience in a scientist position is a plus
- Experience in a Glass Research setting preferred
- Subject Matter Expert with Hands-On skill sets that drives root cause resolution on Glass & Ceramics and/Or organic materials, adhesives, and bonding
- creativity, determination to analyze root causes, solution focused research.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
