Job DescriptionWe are looking for a motivated 2nd line defense Compliance Officer to join a dynamic AIFM of a global Private Equity investment firm. You will work closely with the Compliance Conducting Officer and senior stakeholders, and will be responsible for the compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting, product approvals, and AML/KYC processes. This role offers variety, visibility across the business, and the opportunity to contribute to policy development while building a long-term career in compliance.Please be aware that we CANNOT consider 1st line “AML/KYC” compliance professionals for this mandate.This mandate is a 12-month fixed-term contract (potentially 18 months), with a strong but not guaranteed possibility of a permanent hire.The company is experiencing substantial growth, and the team is expanding.Your Role
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of the compliance monitoring program, ensuring alignment with evolving regulations, business needs, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare compliance reports and KPIs for internal committees, Boards, auditors, and regulators (e.g. CSSF).
  • Assist with the onboarding of new products, including internal reviews, stakeholder coordination, and approval processes.
  • Review marketing and pre-marketing materials and ensure timely preparation and filing of related regulatory notifications.
  • Coordinate significant holdings notifications under AIFMD for investment and divestment transactions.
  • Contribute to the assessment of new regulations and support policy and procedure updates as required.
  • Maintain compliance registers, such as conflicts of interest, and support recurring regulatory reporting obligations.
  • Draft AML correspondence, respond to due diligence requests, and maintain up-to-date AML manuals at the fund level.
  • Support initial and ongoing AML/TF and PF risk assessments for AIFs
Your Profile
  • 3–5 years of relevant compliance experience in Luxembourg, ideally within an AIFM or law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of the AIFM Law, CSSF regulations, and related circulars; academic background in Law and/or Financial Regulation preferred.
  • Familiarity with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Private Equity or alternative funds is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; French or other languages are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive, adaptable attitude.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills.
  • Comfortable working autonomously while also contributing effectively in a team environment.
