China Taiping Insurance (LU) S.A. seeks an underwriter.Main responsibilities:
Review, analyze, accept or reject risks of Property or Casualty business, which is mainly from the Netherlands Market
Manage underwriting activities to ensure they are in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements and adhere to underwriting guidelines, standards, instructions and good practices to minimize risks and maximize efficiency
Build up a close network with multiple distribution channels
Provide technical and specialist product expertise to corporate clients on the range of products offered
Actively keep abreast of market dynamics and demonstrate market cycle awareness to be able to operate effectively and appropriately
Develop and maintain relationships with producers to encourage the submission of targeted business, obtain necessary underwriting information and promote satisfactory service
Identify process improvement plan, provide comments and feedback to any blockages
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
At least 5 years of underwriting experience in the Property or Casualty line of the Netherlands Market
Mature, independent, self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Dutch
Highly PC literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
Candidate with more experience will be considered as Underwriter
