Hays France & Luxembourg compte aujourd’hui plus de 650 salariés répartis au sein de 22 bureaux (Aix-en-Provence, Amiens, Biarritz, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, La Rochelle, Lille, Lyon, Montpellier, Nancy, Nantes, Nice, Paris, Reims, Rennes, Rouen, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Tours et au Luxembourg) couvrant 25 secteurs d’activité.We are assisting a major international financial institution in recruiting a Migration Engineer / Technology Service Analyst for a strategic programme aiming to decommission on‑premises personal drives (H: Drive) and migrate all user data to Microsoft OneDrive for Business.The consultant will support and execute the end‑to‑end migration process for approximately 800 users and will work closely with a UK‑based operational manager and a Luxembourg‑based administrative manager.Location: LuxembourgStart Date: May 2026Contract: Freelance / Consultant (Until end of 2026, possible extension)Work Arrangement: 4 days on‑site + 1 day remote per weekLanguage Requirements: English mandatory German is considered an asset.Key ResponsibilitiesPre‑Migration Activities
  • Analyse user environments, including volume, file structures, path lengths and blocked items.
  • Prepare PowerShell scripts to automate pre‑checks, reporting, provisioning and validation tasks.
  • Perform pre‑migration assessments using ShareGate and/or Microsoft native tools.
  • Provision or validate OneDrive user environments before migration waves.
Migration Execution (H: Drive → OneDrive)
  • Conduct data migrations using ShareGate and Microsoft 365 migration utilities.
  • Monitor and analyse migration logs, troubleshoot errors and execute corrective actions.
  • Handle file system issues (permissions, unsupported characters, long paths, locked files).
Post‑Migration Activities
  • Verify data integrity, permissions and folder structure.
  • Resolve partial or failed migration cases.
  • Support users during their transition to OneDrive, including incident handling and basic adoption assistance.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and status reporting for stakeholders.
Coordination & Communication
  • Collaborate with UK and Luxembourg teams (Workplace, Infrastructure, Security, Network).
  • Provide regular project updates, incident summaries and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements applicable in the financial sector.
Profile
  • You are a proven Migration Engineer, Systems Engineer, or M365 Specialist with concrete experience in large‑scale data migrations.
  • You enjoy operational, hands‑on work and can manage migrations autonomously.
  • You are detail‑oriented, structured, and able to produce high‑quality documentation.
  • You can communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders in an international environment.

Required Skills and ExperienceMandatory
  • ShareGate: Proven hands‑on experience performing migrations, especially file share migrations.
  • PowerShell scripting: Ability to write, adapt and run scripts for automation, reporting and migration workflows.
  • Strong operational experience with Microsoft 365, particularly OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online.
  • Previous experience migrating file shares / home drives to OneDrive in medium or large environments.
  • Solid understanding of permissions (NTFS), Windows Server file systems and Active Directory.
  • Experience analysing migration logs and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Excellent command of English (mandatory).
Assets
  • German language skills.
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated environments.
  • Understanding of Azure AD / Entra ID, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and structured change environments.
