As Manager of GEB Network Management & Partnerships (NM&P) team, you will coordinate with the Head of Department to promote a department’s culture, based on shared processes and goals. You will be the first reference point for the team to solve issues on daily activity and you will lead the education and training process of new team joiners and colleagues from other departments. Building and executing win-win solutions with existing and new Network Partners, growing the solidity of GEB Network and securing its leader position in the market will be your focus both in your own activities and in the coordination with the team. You have a thorough understanding of GEB business model and local conditions and you can advise and be the gatekeeper for and of our Network Partners. Finally you take or advise of the appropriate actions to serve GEB business model, and support GEB management in finding solutions to developing and maintaining strategic business partnerships.Network Relationship Management
  • Cultivate, manage and grow relationships with GEB Network Partners, ensuring coordination for the implementation and respect of Reinsurance, Technical and Operational GEB strategies with Network Partners
  • Engage in education and training initiatives for Network Partners on GEB solutions and requirements, creating solid relationships in order to influence their internal awareness of GEB business model
  • Understand the drivers of the business of the Network Partners organizations, focussing on key areas relevant for GEB objectives and determining possible gaps in the Network Partner for which remediation actions will be suggested and taken in order to create the best value proposition
  • Help structure process workflows both internally and with Network Partners, and ensure that information is shared within GEB, suggesting appropriate solutions to meet this
  • Ensure that each task is completed in the process with Network Partners and particularly maintain excellent relationships with them acting as an expert for multinational business
  • Visit Network Partners, in accordance with Network Management & Partnerships business plan and priorities
  • Work closely together with various GEB and Assicurazioni Generali Regional Office teams to ensure smooth administration and excellent service
  • Ensure the internal and external communication of key information, facts and events related to Network Partners
  • Support Head of NM&P in setting the strategic direction with Network Partners, in order to advise the Executive Committee
Monitoring of Network Partners: new partners onboarding process, continuous due diligence
  • Verify, by conducting a due diligence analysis according to procedure, prospective new strategic partners to support clients’ demand, from a technical and operational perspective in order to guarantee their capabilities to serve GEB business model and enrol in GEB Network
  • Monitor capabilities of Network Partners to timely ensure end-to-end service to GEB Network
  • Monitor market and regulatory conditions to timely intervene in case any local change would prevent Network Partners to serve GEB business model
  • Work with Assicurazioni Generali Regional Offices on legal, compliance and fiscal matters related to the cooperation framework linking GEB with the Network Partners, to design and maintain suitable and fully compliant solutions
  • Set and monitor KPIs in order to guarantee the appropriate level of service
Contractual documentation
  • Ensure that the end-to-end contractual documentation process is completed in due time, guaranteeing the traceability of the documents
  • Act roactively to ensure that the contractual documentation is fully compliant with procedures, taking responsibility for the preparation and completion of contractual documentation
  • Ensure partners are fulfilling their contractual obligations and that GEB is providing the required support for them to do so
  • Suggest standard or specific wordings for contractual documentation and Service Level Agreements, to guarantee that the Network Partners fully understand and follow GEB requirements
Team Management related activities
  • Support Head of Department in the implementation of NM&P strategy, ensuring that the team understands and is fully educated on the goal to reach and how to achieve them
  • Train and educate team members on Network Management & Partnerships strategy and operational model
  • Monitor team’s activity, be supportive and ensure that workload is distributed evenly in the team; advise Network • Management & Partnerships Department on the necessary actions to take
  • Create and promote the necessary team-spirit that allow the team to achieve the requested results
  • Set together with NM&P Head of Department, and advise on, priorities, actions, tools and any other matter that may improve the department’s delivery
Other tasks
  • Lead ad hoc projects, both internally and externally, focusing on the strategic growth of the Network
  • Contribute to a range of projects across various industries, helping other GEB units or Network Partners to take the necessary actions to face the challenges linked GEB business model
  • Perform other duties as / when required by manager
  • Support NM&P team in their duties
Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
  • Professional with at least 5+ years of relevant working experience
  • You are result driven, self-motivated, with strong managerial skills
  • You are able to interface with team members, giving guidance and advice; you take care of their education and training, ensuring that they understand GEB and Network Management & Partnerships model and are able to thoroughly implement it in their daily tasks
  • Able to set up partnerships with colleagues and partners: you are a trusted advisor, who is comfortable with working on difficult issues where negotiation skills are the key to success; patient in the face of uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity
  • Capable to manage complex relationships, curious to find creative, yet fully compliant solutions, in respect of cultural diversity
  • Ability to communicate and educate, developing productive relationships with external stakeholders
  • Result oriented, with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Have a creative mind set, dare to think out of the box with an analytical touch
  • Experience in Insurance, Legal, Audit, Planning and Control is considered a key advantage for the execution and development of the role
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to plan and prioritize own work and manage deadlines
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team setting
  • Capable of working on multiple, overlapping tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to take initiative and make things happen with moderate supervision and guidance
  • Fluent in English and any other language will be considered an advantage
  • Availability to travel and to public speaking
  • Advanced skills and experience in use of analytical programs (Excel is the minimum requirement)
