Job Description:The EPO Compliance Officer specific accountabilities and responsibilities include:
  • to ensure implementation at EPO level ArcelorMittal's Compliance program and to fill in EPO compliance certificate (incl. trainings, non-compliance, conflict of interests etc)
  • to act as trusted compliance advisor and proactively providing sound and pragmatic counseling, at the same time minimizing and mitigating compliance risks.
  • to be up-to-date on regulations related to economic sanctions
  • to train and educate EPO teams on compliance matters, so that they are informed of any legal changes and updates to compliance guidelines.
  • to monitor all EPO operational processes and procedures to ensure that the company complies with all legal regulations and ethical standards, and internal Corporate compliance guidelines & AM Group policies, including ESG developments. With a regular flow of information and conducting compliance risk assessments, he/she ensures that the business runs smoothly. And will play an advisory role
  • to ensure and improve data protection.
  • to support specifically on Vendor management process: as guaranty of compliance, and doing recommendation for risk level 2 and 3 identified
  • to support implementation and usage of Compliance risk screening tools (DowJones, OFAC, etc) with our System, Process & Compliance local EPO teams
  • to conduct regular assessments to determine whether policies are compliant with the law and internal guidance -via the EPO SPC process (to be SPC process pilot and to monitor KPIs)
  • to actively participate to meetings and calls with Corporate compliance team when required and regularly sharing best practices, new challenges or developments, innovations. Keeping an open line of communication with other members of the Group Compliance and reporting functionally on matters of relevance.
The position has a privilege communication channel with EPO Management Committee, guaranteeing independence and a direct exchange with senior management.Skills required:
  • Master's degree in Business law, data protection or compliance would be desirable. Practical experience in e.g., communication, internal assurance, or business would be helpful.
  • Experience on a wide range of compliance and data protection matters in a non-financial business environment min. 5 years.
  • Understanding & knowledge of the law,
  • Knowing Procurement processes in a multinational context, expert knowledge of the company and the relevant market
