Job DescriptionOur client is a Luxembourg-based Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) with over two decades of experience in the private equity industry. To strengthen it's finance team, this client is looking for an Experienced "Fund" Accountant who can take ownership of the full accounting cycle for it's fund structures.As a "Fund" Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Handling the end-to-end accounting of a portfolio of Luxembourg-based entities linked to private equity funds (SPVs, LuxCos, holding companies)
  • Preparing financial statements in accordance with Lux GAAP
  • Managing annual closings, balance sheet preparation, and liaising with external auditors
  • Monitoring and reconciling bank accounts, preparing payment instructions, and maintaining accurate bookkeeping
  • Collaborating with internal teams.
  • Participating in process improvements and supporting ad hoc projects across finance and fund operations
It's not mandatory, but it's a big plus:
  • Completing VAT returns and assisting in the preparation of corporate tax filings
As a "Fund" Accountant, your profile is described as follows:
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in accounting, ideally within an AIFM.
  • You are familiar with fund structures and the accounting specifics of alternative investment vehicles
  • You demonstrate autonomy, precision, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Fluency in English, French and Italian are a big plus.
  • Experience with accounting or fund administration software is considered an advantage
