France, Italy, Spain and its Representative Office in Greece. The EU is regarded as a key foothold in ICBC’s global network.ICBC (Europe) S.A. in Luxembourg is looking for a talented Legal Advisor to join the Legal Department under a permanent contract.Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Handle day-to-day legal matters and provide legal advice, including analysis, research and drafting;
  • Draft, review and participate in negotiations of a wide range of transactions and contractual documents (bilateral loans, syndicated loans, ISDA agreements, risk participation, Terms & Conditions, etc) and service agreements;
  • Monitor, analyse and assess the potential impact of relevant legal and regulatory developments impacting the Bank as issued at EU and local level and by the CSSF, the EBA, or other competent authorities;
  • Draft, review, and update legal and regulatory policies and procedures of the Bank;
  • Support and contribute to internal projects, trainings, and process improvements;
  • Undertake any other legal or regulatory tasks as required by the department.
Your profile:
  • Master degree in Law (obtained in EU); Completion of CCDL (supplementary Courses in Luxembourg Law) is an asset;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in French is an asset;
  • 3 to 5 years experience within the Legal Department of an international bank or an international law firm with focus on banking law;
  • Good knowledge of EU and local banking and financial regulations (e.g., EMIR, MiFID II, PSD2, CRDVI, and DORA) and of Luxembourg banking business (corporate and investment banking);
  • Ability to complete tasks independently;
  • High level of accuracy, self-organization and collaborative and solution-oriented attitude;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and work effectively in a multicultural environment and collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders;
  • Sense of discretion, confidentiality, integrity and transparency.
