Job DescriptionKey responsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Control
  • Own assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process, ensuring timeliness accuracy and compliance with Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS 16,
  • Prepare, validate, and reconcile general ledger accounts with attention to detail and audit-readiness
  • Support group reporting's and ensure proper mapping and reporting of local financial data
  • Preparation of year-end financial statements, including notes and disclosures
Regulatory Compliance & Audit Support
  • Ensure timely preparation and compliant submission of VAT returns and support other tax filings,
  • Prepare detailed audit packages and liaise directly with external auditors.
  • Recommended improvements based on audit findings or operational gaps.
Analytical Review & Reporting
  • Analyze accounting journal entries, financial results, investigate variances, and prepare meaningful commentary for your manager.
  • Support the budgeting process and monitor performance against budget.
  • Deliver monthly reports with KPIs
Process Ownership & Optimization
  • Identify bottlenecks in accounting and reporting workflows and lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Propose and implement automation and system enhancements (Workday upgrades, Excel macros, BI tools, Alterix).
  • Maintain and improve documentation of accounting policies, processes and internal procedures.
Cross functional Collaboration & Mentorship
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Tax, and HR delivery platforms to ensure accurate financial flows.
  • Partner with business teams to provide accounting input on new projects or transactions.
  • Mentor junior finance team members and promote accounting excellence and best practices.
Profile
  • Bachelor's degree (BAC + 3) in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in an audit or regulated environment.
  • String knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP, VAT, and corporate tax, IFRS 16 knowledge is a plus.
  • Proven ability to analyze, reconcile and synthesize financial data under pressure.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. Workday) and advanced Excel skills, familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • String written and verbal communication skills in French, English proficiency is essential.
  • Self-starter with bias for action commitment to meeting deadlines, and continuous learning.
