- The MDM plays a pivotal role in developing and maintaining successful relationships with assigned accounts, driving strategic growth initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve sales and profitability goals. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with the Strategic Business Manager and Commercial Director to formulate pricing, forecasting, and resource allocation strategies to enhance market share and profitability within the designated region.
- Develop and propose tailored customer development plans to foster growth.
- Implement and regularly assess progress against medium-term and short-term goals, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
- Coordinate the execution of the approved strategy and annual sales goals, working closely with on-site sales teams to exceed master plan objectives.
- Cultivate relationships with headquarters, key plant locations, and R&D departments to enhance account services, identify new business opportunities, and ensure effective communication.
- Address and escalate relevant complaints in collaboration with sales and technical departments, taking appropriate action to safeguard business conditions.
- Stay informed about market trends and competitive activities within the region/accounts and share pertinent insights across the organization.
- Contribute to specific projects as needed
- Perform additional projects and duties as assigned by management.
- You hold a Master's degree in Economics, Marketing or Chemistry;
- You have a first experience in a Sales or Business Developer in an industrial (preferably related to plastics/materials, chemistry) and multinational environment;
- Young graduates with a background in plastics engineering are also welcome;
- You are highly motivated and target driven with excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills;
- You are fluent in English, French is considered as an advantage;
- You are willing to work on site in Luxembourg and open for business trips in Europe.
