boost your development.What you'll doProcess Safety Management Lead reports to the Head of Operational and Technical Expertise/Head of Process and Equipment ReliabilityResponsibilities include:
  • Regularly assess performance of sites Process Safety Management, identify gaps to AM standard, contribute to development of action plans and follow up implementation progress on some sites (along with Process and Reliability experts in Group CTO)
  • Ensure PSM knowledge available in ArcelorMittal is fully leveraged to support Units
  • Ensure high performing Units push the boundaries of operational reliability
  • Review progress of assigned shops in a regular and structured way
  • On request of sites support preparation of capex files that are developing solutions to improve Process Safety
  • Contribute to maintaining AM PSM standards, continually improving them and to their roll out within sites.
  • Contribute to the animation of PSM communities at group level (KSF, web meetings…)
  • Contribute to assess new tools being developed to aid in PSM and benchmark with external companies
  • Contribute to group training programs focused on Process Safety Management and new tools of PSM (such as those for hazard identification etc). The training has to be adjusted to various levels of the organization and delivered via AMU webinars to structure training programs.
  • Travels one per month. Destination might be across the Group
What are we looking for?These are the things we look for. Don't be put off if you can't tick every box.We want someone who's:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing (operating, maintenance etc..)
  • Degree in Engineering or Sciences
  • English fluent
  • Open-minded change manager with good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to travel and able to work with different cultures, be flexible and respectful
  • Solid relationship management and influencing skills, coupled with written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to work in a team environment and interact with senior management
  • Initiative, ownership, and accountability
  • Inter-cultural skills are appreciated for interaction with units as well as other corporate departments

  • Develop and maintain an ArcelorMittal technology strategy fully encompassing all functional capabilities of Digitalization technologies
  • CTO organization will maintain the highest level of technical expertise to ensure that all factors contributing to world class levels of reliability and quality and reduction of manufacturing related WIP are properly addressed.
  • Ensure excellence in Capital Project Execution
  • Help assure that proposed capital investments are essential and achieve state of the art performance at lowest capex outlay via appropriate technological choices and strategy
  • Help assure that all elements of project execution are done on time and on-budget through diligent planning and correctly monitoring all stages of the project
  • Ensure Technical Excellence
  • Jointly with the local segments, assist in developing a technical competency strategy and help institute plans to pro-actively fill competency gaps leveraging expertise of the CTO team, segments, Global R&D and ArcelorMittal University.
  • Capitalizing on the inherent strengths of the Twinning concept help to assure that a system is in place to develop, assist in implementation and report out on actions to close gaps to benchmark
