About the role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Financial Reporting Specialist in Luxembourg. You will work on multi-valuation management and financial reporting of the assigned legal entities mainly according to Solvency II valuation principles, but as well as Luxembourg GAAP and local GAAP's.

What your day-to-day activities will include
- Lead the process and prepare the quarterly and annual regulatory reporting under Solvency II to the insurance supervisor.
- Actively support the local CFO on topics such as: balance sheet and capital management, reinsurance strategy, liquidity planning and financial planning of the entity.
- Support the preparation of the statutory reporting required by the insurance supervisors and regulatory bodies.
- Prepare reporting to Senior Management and the Board of Directors as well as ad-hoc reporting requirements.
- Coordinate and actively support the external audit processes of the legal entities and branches.
- Manage the coordination process with Swiss Re Group and Business Functions and partners to ensure effective financial management.
- Establish efficient reporting processes to reduce operational risk.
- Ensure financial analysis to your business partners for those valuations in the scope of your role.

About you
- A motivated self-starter who is able to execute tasks with a strong level of independence
- Creative, forward-thinking and have a willingness to challenge the status-quo
- Five or more years of work experience in the insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of the Solvency II reporting landscape and requirements
- University degree in Economics, Science or Business Administration
- Qualification in Accounting and/or Audit is desirable
- Strong knowledge regarding Lux GAAP accounting policies and Luxembourg regulatory framework is desirable
- Experience in IFRS and other European local GAAP standards is desirable
- Project management capabilities and experience coupled with good communication skills
- Excellent command of the English language; French is an asset
