Intern Corporate Finance

• Create a comprehensive overview of the main types of carbon offset projects (e.g., renewable energy, forestry, energy efficiency) and the methodologies used to certify them
• Analyze how these project types align with Cargolux’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy and sustainability goals
• Define assessment criteria to evaluate project quality, credibility, and alignment with international standards

• Conduct in-depth research on CORSIA and Voluntary Carbon Markets (VCM), including pricing trends, project quality benchmarks, and future market developments
• Build statistics and analytical models to support CO₂ hedging strategies and cost forecasting

• Assist in managing Cargolux’s obligations under various carbon trading schemes (EU ETS, CH ETS, UK ETS, and CORSIA)
• Monitor CO₂ certificate markets and propose strategies to manage the financial impact of carbon costs on flight operations
• Support regular reporting to CFO on CO₂ exposure and market trends

• Participate in market sounding activities, including regular calls with carbon market counterparties
• Follow publications and reports from market participants to inform internal decision-making
• Contribute to the preparation of internal presentations and risk management documentation
