We neither offer any securities (bonds, shares, notes etc.) nor do we act on behalf of any other financial institution to offer such securities to any clients.As part of this environment, EDB’s Credit Team is seeking to recruit a Fund Finance Specialist to support the bank’s Fund Finance activities. This role involves partnering closely with fund managers and internal stakeholders to deliver financing solutions that support investment strategies across private equity, private debt, and other alternative asset classes.The Fund Finance Specialist will join EDB’s Credit Team, which provides bespoke fund finance solutions to leading global private equity sponsors and asset managers, including subscription credit facilities, NAV based loans, and hybrid structures.
This role offers exposure across the full transaction lifecycle — from origination support and structuring through credit analysis, deal execution, and ongoing portfolio management. The role sits within a growing fund-finance environment and offers meaningful scope to contribute to its continued development.
The position is well suited to proactive individuals who value ownership, enjoy hands on involvement in transactions, and are keen to deepen their expertise in a specialist fund finance environment. Responsibilities are designed to evolve over time, with increasing exposure to deal leadership, client interaction, and internal coordination, alongside greater ownership across transactions, client relationships, and portfolio oversight.Core Responsibilities
  • Origination & Client Engagement.
  • Support the origination and assessment of new fund finance opportunities.
  • Participate in client discussions and assist with opportunity evaluation and relationship management.
Structuring & Credit
  • Structure subscription facilities, NAV loans, and hybrid financings in line with approved risk appetite.
  • Perform credit analysis of fund structures, investor profiles, and underlying portfolios.
  • Analyse financial statements, financial models, and fund documentation.
  • Prepare credit memoranda and materials for internal approval processes, including credit committee submissions.
  • Contribute to credit discussions and ensure alignment with internal risk frameworks and policies.
Execution & Transaction Management
  • Manage transaction execution from mandate through closing.
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders, including Risk, Legal, and Client Coverage teams.
  • Support documentation and closing processes to ensure transactions are completed in accordance with approved terms.
Portfolio Management
  • Monitor and manage existing fund finance exposures.
  • Support ongoing client activity, including amendments, refinancings, extensions, and facility increases.
  • Contribute to portfolio reviews, reporting, and ongoing risk management.
Candidate Profile
  • Relevant academic background in finance, economics, accounting, or a related discipline; prior experience in fund finance, structured lending, or credit is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with an interest in developing credit expertise across fund structures and investor bases.
  • Demonstrates sound judgement, attention to detail, and a high level of professional responsibility.
  • Comfortable managing multiple workstreams, working independently, and escalating issues appropriately when required.
  • Collaborative, proactive team player with strong communication skills and a desire to contribute beyond pure execution.
  • Genuine interest in subscription credit facilities, NAV based lending, and hybrid fund finance products, with a willingness to learn through hands on deal exposure.
  • Understanding of, or interest in, fund level financing structures.
  • Motivated individuals seeking to build a career as a Fund Finance Specialist within a specialist fund finance environment, with increasing responsibility over time.
