So are we! Come and join usThe Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is a Research and Technology Organization (RTO) active in the fields of materials, environment and IT. By transforming scientific knowledge into technologies, smart data and tools, LIST empowers citizens in their choices, public authorities in their decisions and businesses in their strategies.Do you want to know more about LIST? Check our website:How will you contribute? The project, carried out in close collaboration with Circuit Foil Luxembourg, investigates the use of atmospheric plasma deposition techniques to create thin films that enhance adhesion between various metallic foils and prepreg materials in composite laminates. The postdoctoral researcher will work on the optimization of the atmospheric plasma deposition parameters to engineer thin films with tailored surface chemistry and morphology to promote strong interfacial bonding. Comprehensive characterization methods, including surface analysis (SIMS, FTIR, SEM, XPS) and mechanical adhesion testing will be employed to evaluate the thin film properties and adhesion strength. The postdoctoral researcher will conduct research in the atmospheric plasma deposition of functional thin films on metallic foils. The researcher will work closely with LIST characterisation platform and the industrial partner to build up a deep understanding on the adhesion between metallic foils and prepreg materials and develop strategies to enhance the adhesion. The postdoctoral researcher is expected maintain close interactions with the industrial partner and report to them on a biweekly basis. The postdoctoral researcher, integrated to a very engaged and ambitious research team, is expected to develop these research activities to the highest scientific level. Is Your profile described below?
