Research & Development Specialist in AI and Criminal Law

- Conduct desk research on the different topics falling into the scope of the research (AI and criminal law, E-evidence; EU and Council of Europe (CoE) standards on the use of AI in criminal proceedings)
- Organise focus groups and interviews with practitioners working in the criminal justice field in selected EU Members States
- Disseminate results through scientific publications, workshops and conferences (organize workshops, seminars and the final conference; edit the publication of the research results)
- Offer research assistance and coordinate young researchers working in the same field
- Ensure that the project website is updated and contains all relevant information
- Contribute in preparing further research proposals under the leadership of Prof. Ligeti
- Have a Master degree in Law with specialization in criminal law, criminal procedure or law and technology. Practical experience in criminal law or IT law will be considered an advantage
- Have the linguistic skills to evolve in a multilingual environment: fluency in English; good understanding of a second language and possibly a third language, French or German in particular, would be considered an advantage
