We look for researchers from diverse academic backgrounds to contribute to our projects in areas such as: Network Security, Information Assurance, Model-driven Security, Cloud Computing, Cryptography, Satellite Systems, Vehicular Networks, and ICT Services & Applications.Your roleThe selected candidate will join the new Systems and Network Security Group led by . The person will contribute to cutting-edge research in cybersecurity for critical infrastructures and perform the following tasks:
- Research: Conduct scientific research to advance the field of cybersecurity in critical infrastructures on problems related to network security, IoT security, AI agents, security automation, vulnerability discovery or human factor security
- Technology transfer: Work with industrial and governmental partners to transfer the group’s research results into functional prototypes and technology demonstrators for uses cases in the field of satellite systems, vehicular networks, smart cities, and others.
- Education: Contribute in the teaching activities of the University’s Cybersecurity Master program and supervise Master students
- Dissemination: Present your research results at scientific conferences, journals and technology events
- A MSc degree (or equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc.
- Interest in security research and/or security engineering
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary research environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are required. Knowledge of French, German, or Luxembourgish will be appreciated but is not a requirement to apply
