Our client is an established asset management company with an international footprint.They oversee a substantial portfolio diversified across various investment strategies and serve a wide spectrum of institutional and private investors worldwide.
Their Luxembourg branch acts as an alternative investment fund manager, responsible for managing several funds and mandates focused on private equity, private debt, infrastructure, and similar asset classes.We are seeking a Compliance & AML Specialist to join the compliance team in Luxembourg. This position plays a key role in the firm’s second line of defense by supporting global compliance and AML operations.Key Responsibilities:Regulatory Compliance
  • Keep up to date with applicable regulatory developments within the EU and Luxembourg.
  • Interpret laws and regulations relevant to alternative investment fund management.
  • Assist in drafting and updating compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide guidance to operational teams on regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with legal advisors both inside and outside the organization.
  • Participate in designing and executing compliance monitoring activities.
  • Communicate compliance findings to senior management and governance bodies.
AML Oversight
  • Support or oversee AML-related controls concerning investors and portfolio holdings.
  • Coordinate the review and validation of AML documentation and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with client service teams to ensure full documentation compliance.
  • Maintain comprehensive AML records and data management systems.
Candidate Profile:
  • At least 5 years’ professional experience in audit, legal, or compliance functions within the financial sector, ideally with exposure to Luxembourg’s regulatory framework.
  • Solid understanding of the regulatory landscape governing alternative investment funds in Luxembourg.
  • Advanced degree in law, business, economics, or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Strong attention to detail with analytical capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and capable of handling multiple priorities.
  • Effective team collaborator with good communication skills.
