- Reviewing day-to-day operational depositary work performed by Officers, often with competing priorities, in relation to a portfolio of private equity, debt, real estate and infrastructure of alternative investment funds with an increased level of accountability and ownership for your work.
- Acting as the client's first point of contact for both operational topics and the management of internal and external parties, such as asset managers, auditors, law firms, banks and central administrators etc., building strong relationships.
- Provide support to the Depositary Managers with ad hoc queries and act as Deputy in its absence.
- Acting in line with compliance and regulatory requirements as well as internal AD Policies and Procedures (PPDs) and Risk guidelines.
- Consistently embedding the Alter Domus values as a guiding principle in all your daily activities, actions and decision-making process.
- Onboarding, training, coaching and supervision of junior employees, readily sharing expertise and best practice, coaching, as well as coordinating and overseeing their work, escalating any issues to management, where necessary.
- Continuously developing via learning on-the-job, formal training and regular self-reviews, developing, and keeping up-to-date technical skills and understanding of the industry and regulations, including any changes.
- You hold a bachelor degree, preferably in a financial services related subject.
- You have 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in the alternative investment funds industry related to the role, particularly in the Private Equity, Real Estate and/or Debt markets (experience specific to depositary services would be an advantage, but not mandatory).
- You have a good up-to-date understanding of alternative investment funds industry (Private Equity, Real Estate, Debt, Fund of Fund, etc.).
- You possess strong team spirit, while taking initiative to work without direction when appropriate, demonstrate flexibility and organizational & prioritization skills while working on competing priorities.
- You demonstrate strong communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to build and maintain robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of French and/or German would be considered as an asset, but not essential.
- You demonstrate a very good knowledge of using MS Office, and MS Excel in particular; good understanding of systems or software related to a specific role may also be required.
- You show the ability to act with an increased level of accountability, demonstrating strong ownership for your work, being flexible in managing priorities, respecting and adhering to the established processes and procedures, regulatory requirements.
- You have a track record of effectively coaching and supporting employees at a junior level.
