We look for researchers from diverse academic backgrounds to contribute to our projects in areas such as: Network Security, Information Assurance, Model-driven Security, Cloud Computing, Cryptography, Satellite Systems, Vehicular Networks, and ICT Services & Applications.Your roleThe successful candidate will join the CritiX research group ( ) headed by Prof. Marcus Völp. The team focuses on critical information infrastructures and cyber-physical systems with the aim to protect our most sensitive and valuable assets. We look into systems in the small and how we can prepare them to withstand and operate safely and securely through accidental faults and targeted cyberattacks and how large scale constellations can achieve the same properties to protect for example, our energy grid.We are looking for Postdoc candidates to join the team to contribute to our research agenda and to the excellence of the group and of SnT in general.Successful candidates are expected to participate in the following activities:
  • Conduct highly innovative research in the intersection of cybersecurity and safety-critical systems, in dependability methods and solutions and in architectures and systems that support the development of such systems
  • Publish research results and present them at international conferences
  • Contribute to reports and research activities in support of project management
  • Guide PhD students
  • Participate in a dedicated training plan
