Earlier this month, we met with an organisation that is a leader in disruptive technologies, with Global ambition, a suite of cutting-edge products and a World class R&D capability. Greenfield has been mandated as their exclusive local partner in their efforts to rapidly build their Lux team during the coming months. Luxembourg has been established as the central of their corporate functions. The firm’s roots are far broader. Driven by near-term ambitions to IPO and early investor commitments from leading brands of the industry this is an organisation that is without question a future household brand name. The sky really is the limit for this organisation; as are the opportunities being created right now for suitably ambitious, dynamic and committed financial, legal and IT professionals. We are mandated to identify their Treasury Operations Manager who will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of key global treasury activities. Reporting to the group CFO; the mandate will have an operational dimension relative to the management of the activities of the treasury co in Lux. However the incumbent will be integral to support the development of the group’s international treasury strategy. The complexity and breadth of the businesses’ operations are expanding rapidly, and a very real opportunity exists in foreseeing the treasury opportunities and challenges that this will create. At its core this is a value creating role; there is the clear desire for the incumbent to play an active and integral role in the organisation’s capacity to roll out its fast-expanding international group operations. ROLE SUMMARY: Responsible for the day-to-day treasury operations, including: · The short-term cash and liquidity management of the Group · Group cash concentration and banking structures · In house bank and payment hub activities · Operational bank relationship / account management · Operational FX risk management (short and long term) · Treasury related accounting / financial reporting (together with CFO) · Selection and implementation of a group of Treasury system · Treasury related reporting (including forecasting) · Integration of new entities units into operational treasury and into financing structures · To support senior finance management to implement a proper segregation of duties and ensure that an appropriate controls framework is in place · Assist CFO in any ad hoc projects as required PERSON PROFILE: · Possesses a positive ‘can-do’ attitude – finds solutions to complex challenges. · Effective communication skills – pragmatic and dynamic · Sees the big picture – doesn’t get caught in siloed thinking · Curious, proactive, hungry to learn and a deep desire to succeed to the best of one’s ability. · You will enjoy being recognized as being for your own contribution. · Able to manage multiple demands and projects and work effectively under pressure. ROLE REQUIREMENTS · You will have 5-8 years of directly relevant treasury operations experience; a background in accounting would be advantageous. · An excellent education to Masters level in a finance, accounting related subject. · Ideally you will have a proven track record in a similar context; having succeeded in supporting a fast-growing international firm in implementing their treasury operations · Autonomous; independently minded – team leadership experience. · Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity · Has a ‘can do’ service approach ensuring service levels are maintained · Local language skills are a welcome, however English in all fo...
