Clifford Chance is a place where the brightest minds and the best of colleagues meet.Job DescriptionThe roleWith around 140 lawyers and 15 Partners, the key areas of expertise of the Clifford Chance Luxembourg office include: Banking, Finance and Capital Markets, Corporate, Investment Funds, Tax, Litigation and Real Estate.Our Corporate department advises major domestic and international companies, and private equity houses on public and private M&A, disposals, demergers, joint ventures, restructurings, corporate governance and regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on complex cross-border transactions.Our team is composed of 3 Partners and about 35 lawyers from diverse backgrounds and nationalities. Working languages are French, English and German.We are looking for a Senior Associate to further strengthen our Corporate team. You will work on on a broad range of matters, including:
  • Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Private equity, real estate and infrastructure transactions
  • Reorganisations and restructurings
  • Intra-group and third party financings
  • Capital Markets
  • Joint Ventures
  • General corporate and transactional services
You will also be able to develop your soft skills such as drafting, client relationship management and development, knowledge management, as well as mentoring of junior team members.Qualifications
  • At least 5 years' experience in corporate law ideally gained within a large international law firm in Luxembourg
  • You are a qualified lawyer, ideally admitted to the 'Liste I'
  • Expertise working on complex transactions in the M&A, PE/RE/Infra or renewable energy sectors
  • Fluency in English and French and/or German
  • Excellent client and team management skills
  • Proactive, team spirited and able to demonstrate good communication skills
  • Dynamic and eager to learn
