The role involves improving the current infrastructure, automating operations, and enhancing performance through expertise in Windows servers systems, automation, and containerization.
The Senior IT System Engineer will develop robust security and recovery strategies while integrating new solutions to meet industry standards. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about influencing technological change and making a significant impact on the systems.You will be mainly in charge of:Manage and maintain both Windows Server and Linux operating systemsOversee Active Directory and group policy administrationImplement and manage virtualization solutions using VMwareConfigure and manage Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and SSL/TLS protocolsDesign and implement network protocols and configurations, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANsEvaluate, implement, and manage storage solutions (SAN, NAS) and enforce data management principlesDeploy and manage cloud services (AWS, Azure) and design cloud architectures in hybrid environmentsUtilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager Templates for infrastructure deploymentPlan, develop, and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.Implement and manage modern backup technologies and strategies, including cloud-based and off-site solutionsProvide database administration support, specifically for SQL-based systemsSet up, configure, and maintain performance monitoring tools using systems like Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, or SplunkDevelop and maintain scripts for automation tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or PythonUtilize automation and configuration management tools where necessary.Manage containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly with Docker and KubernetesTroubleshoot complex technical issues effectively and provide resolutions.Communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders effectivelyMaintain and update relevant IT certifications to uphold industry standards and best practicesDesign operational documentation and proceduresIs Your profile described below?
